Project Description

The Dubai Innovative Learning Center at Najmara School redefines educational spaces through a child-centric, sustainable, and inclusive design philosophy. Originally a disused building at Safa Park, it was carefully revitalized to become a progressive hub for creativity, autonomy, and community engagement.

Commissioned by the Dubai Future Foundation, 9E Global was entrusted with full design and supervision services. The scope covered structural engineering together with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, IT, and AV design. Dedicated site supervision was delivered across structural, mechanical, electrical, IT, and AV disciplines, ensuring technical excellence and seamless project execution. Project-specific professional indemnity insurance further reinforced quality assurance and long-term reliability.

The architectural vision avoids rigid classroom typologies, introducing seven modular “learning dishes” supported by multipurpose areas such as a theater, professional and learning kitchens, prayer rooms, medical facilities, and staff workspaces. Biophilic design with natural materials, daylighting, and greenery promotes wellness and creativity, while safety and inclusivity are embedded through child-scaled dimensions, anti-slip flooring, and sensory-friendly prayer spaces.

By merging innovation with sustainability, the Learning Center is more than a school; it is a vibrant community hub that empowers children through experience, connection, and collaboration, reflecting values of compassion, creativity, and environmental stewardship.
